DESCRIPTION:The Mountain Artists Guild Mother’s Day Fine Art Festival is an outdoor event on the historic Courthouse Plaza in Downtown Prescott. The Mother’s Day Fine Art Festival also attracts local participation\, many of whom are retirees or summer visitors with second homes here. This unique festival holds great appeal for our thriving local arts community and art tourists alike. \nThe Mother’s Day Fine Art Festival showcases a juried exhibition of outstanding fine artists and a variety of vendors. This year’s show will feature even more high-quality fine artists\, and with our extended advertising\, we expect to attract visitors from all over the southwest. New vendors are highly encouraged to apply. \nThe Mountain Artist Guild Mother’s Day Fine Art Festival is hosted by The Mountain Artists Guild\, a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the visual arts in the Greater Prescott Area. The Mountain Artists Guild has been hosting fine arts Festivals on the Courthouse Plaza since 1953. The Mountain Artists Guild is celebrating 76 Years.

SUMMARY:Study the Stars from Homolovi
DESCRIPTION:Star parties take place monthly April through November at Homolovi State Park. The events feature a guest speaker from 7 to 8 p.m. in the visitor center followed by dark sky viewing through the Winslow Homolovi Observatory’s Moore Telescope. Night sky targets will change throughout the year but may include deep space nebulae\, star clusters\, and more. Homolovi is the only one of Arizona’s state parks that contains its own observatory. Each event is free with park admission. \nThank you to the Little Colorado River Valley Astronomy Club for supporting these astronomy events.
