Held annually on the second weekend in May. \nThe Ash Fork Historical Society invites you to step back in time for “Ash Fork Route 66 Heritage Days” on Saturday\, May 16\, 2026 — a community celebration blending the town’s pioneer roots with the centennial of Route 66\, the highway that put Ash Fork on the map. \nThis special event features a full day of nostalgic fun\, food\, and small-town pride\, beginning with an old-fashioned parade down historic Lewis Avenue at 10 a.m. A true hometown tradition\, the parade will include horse riders\, classic cars\, walkers\, floats\, and local children proudly showing off their hand-decorated bicycles and carts — just like in the old days. \nFor car enthusiasts\, the highlight will be the Classic Car Show\, where gleaming vintage vehicles will be parked for visitors to walk through\, admire\, and chat with their owners. From chrome bumpers to tail fins\, it’s a celebration of American motoring history — fitting for the 100th anniversary of Route 66. \nThroughout the day\, enjoy: \n• Old-fashioned Parade – Line-up at Ash Fork Museum at 9 a.m. Parade starts at 10 a.m. Anyone can join in. \n• Celebrate automotive history with a full day of classic cars on display\, with plenty of chrome and conversation. \n• A chili cookoff – Chili entries due for Judging at 9:00 a.m. Chili Judging at 10 a.m. Anyone can participate. \n• A vintage fire engine display \n• Live flagstone demonstrations\, honoring Ash Fork’s title as the Flagstone Capital of the United States \n• A craft fair filled with handmade treasures.
