The cuisine at Carlos O’Brien’s is known as “Arizona Style Mexican,” enriched by unique additions and one-of-a-kind recipes perfected over the last 40 years. The team of chefs is constantly innovating to create new customer favorites. Honoring the founder’s Irish heritage, the menu includes a few classic Irish dishes, and the bar offers a selection of great Irish beers and whiskeys alongside Mexican favorites.

MISSION

Carlos O’Brien’s mission is to be customers’ favorite dining destination. Since 1978, under the same local ownership, the team has worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. From its humble beginnings in a small strip mall in downtown Phoenix, the restaurant quickly gained popularity, with customers waiting in line for both seating and parking, and traveling from across Arizona to visit. To meet demand, Carlos O’Brien’s relocated just a few miles north to a much larger space on 12th Street and Northern Avenue, eventually opening three more locations across the valley.

Carlos O’Brien’s approach is rooted in the belief that no detail is too small to impact the customer experience. Over the past 40 years, the team has focused on every aspect of what makes customers lifelong fans—and they’re just getting started.
